The river runs wild & free

We took a road trip to Kibunut (Pronounced Qee-boo-noot) last Sunday and my kid had a great time at the river. Sadly, the amenities there were dissapointing. The toilets were in need of repairs, and the parking lot needed new paving.

Despite the drawbacks it was still a great place to hang out with the family and let the day pass you by to frolick in the river. The entrance fee is about RM1 for adults and children get in for free.

I find this place is even more tranquil than Kionsom Waterfalls in Inanam. Anyway, if you’re wondering how to get there, you need to take the Dongongon - Tambunan Road, its about 5-8 Km after Dongongon and take a right (just before a bridge), at the signboard that says Kibunut. Unfortunately I didn’t take a picture of the junction but keep your eyes peeled for the signboard. It’s quite easy to miss since the scenery on that road can mislead you.
